Welcome to Broad medicine.

BroadMedicine is a 501(c) non-profit organization served to function as a connection for high school students to be involved with the medical society. BroadMed allows globally-focused students to shadow doctors with different specialities. This four week intensive program allows for each student to have 3 days of rotation in each specialty weekly.

High School Students:

Session 1: July 6-July 31

Students would then go to their designated doctors on the following days: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. After a student has completely a week with a certain doctor, they will move on to the next specialty. Some of the many tentative opportunities these high school students participate in are Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Dentistry, and Radiology. The students will shadow the doctors in their respective practices, which are mainly near the Cerritos/Downey/Irvine area. In terms of this community, these students will learn and experience what doctors face in their everyday lives.

There will also be our annual medical symposium for the entire family to attend where doctors from Harbor UCLA will come to discuss their fields and answer any questions in depth. This program will allow students to excel in the medical field and ultimately help their goal to become the most effective health leader they can be.
